FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT

• Establish, maintain, protect and preserve communal forest, watersheds, tree parks, mangroves, greenbelts, commercial forest and similar forest project like industrial tree farms and agro-forestry projects.
• Provide extension services to beneficiaries of forest development projects and technical, financial, and infrastructural assistance.
• Manage and maintain seed banks and produce seedlings for forest and tree parks.
• Provide extension service to beneficiaries of forest development projects and render assistance for natural resources-related conservation and utilization of mineral resources.
• Promote the small – scale mining and utilization of mineral resources.
• Coordinate with government agencies and non-governmental organizations in the implementations of measures to prevent and control land, air, and water pollution with assistance of Department of Environment and Natural Resources Office.
